"Thank you, AGTrust, for the scholarship that made it possible for Faith Assembly of God to experience the Acts 2 Journey!"
When Del and Marvina Smith came to pastor Faith Assembly in Roaring Spring in 2017, at the invitation of the Penn-Del District of the Assemblies of God, the church was struggling and Del felt like the Acts 2 Journey could help the congregation make a fresh start.
The vision of the congregation at Faith Assembly is to be a warm and welcoming family committed to developing Christ-followers.
"Participating in the Acts 2 Journey had a powerful impact on the faith and spiritual life of our leadership team members," Pastor Del says. "Going through this one-year process helped generate some great discussions concerning the church's strengths, weaknesses and opportunities."

The model, the plan, and the process Jesus envisioned for His church has never been clearer."
Prior to Del and Marvina coming to Faith Assembly in Roaring Spring, Del served as lead pastor of Christian Life Center in Bensalem, Pa. He earned a bachelor's degree from Central Bible College and a master's degree from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, both in Springfield, Mo.
