New Church Makes God's Creative Love Known

The plans to establish a new church plant in Bloomington, Minnesota, began with meetings in a neighborhood coffee shop. During those early days, Pastors Noe and Bertha Lara knew that God was prompting them to share His love for the Twin Cities metropolitan area (Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington) in a new way.
With a 15-member launch team, and after many months of preparation, Creative Love Church launched October 8, 2019. Pastor Noe shares, "Whether it's in our homes, neighborhoods, schools, at work, or across the globe, we want to tangibly express God's creative love for humanity through the local church."

As of early March 2020, the congregation was seeing 73 people in attendance, and then the COVID-19 pandemic became evident. In spite of the adjustments necessary because of social distancing, the leadership continued to engage with their growing church family, offering services online. Realizing that their focus through the pandemic must be to maintain these newly established relationships, they decided to create an even deeper foundation. Noe explains, "We are building an internship program with key leaders who are called to ministry, creating discipleship pipelines, and providing leadership opportunities."
Creative Love Church in Bloomington, Minnesota, launched its first service in October 2019. By March 2020, they were averaging 73 in Sunday attendance.
Creative Love Church is impacting its local community in a powerful way. "Since the pandemic began," Noe Lara states, "we've been able to donate over $5,000 to our community through giving aid to a single mother's home, the school district, and a local food distribution center." Their immediate goals include donating even more monies to aid local schools with back-to-school needs for the upcoming semester.
"We believe the local church is the hope of the world," Pastor Noe says. "We strive to make God's creative love known to our city, and our mission is to empower people and lead them to the life God has called them to."
